ICS “Antonio Fogazzaro” at Noventa Vicentina (VI)

The Institute A. Fogazzaro consists of 2 nursery schools, 2 primary schools and a lower secondary school, for a total of 825 students distributed across 39 classes.

The primary mission of the “Fogazzaro” Institute is to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world application.

The main objectives are:
1. Equipping students with solid foundational skills in humanities, sciences, and the arts
2. Encouraging students to question, analyze, and solve problems creatively (critical thinking)
3. Cultivating a sense of respect, legality, and cooperation within the school community and beyond (social responsibility)
4. Ensuring a smooth pedagogical transition between the different school levels to support the child’s long-term educational journey (continuity)

The EcoMistery project promotes key European skills, such as intercultural communication, collaboration in English and problem solving in real-world contexts.
It draws on environmental exploration, scientific inquiry, and ecological awareness, in line with the institute’s commitment to sustainability, already evident in its STEM initiatives. It promotes innovative methodologies, such as project-based learning (PBL), laboratory activities, the use of digital tools and experiential learning.
It strengthens civic education by enabling students to understand the value of international cooperation, environmental responsibility, and an active role in the local and global community.

The goal is to transform environmental education into an immersive, playful, and highly educational experience.

Our approach blends mystery storytelling with global ecological challenges.
We don’t just convey knowledge. We also aim to develop:
Youth Empowerment: Cultivate critical thinking and problem-solving skills related to sustainability.
Climate Literacy: Make complex concepts (biodiversity, circular economy, carbon footprint) accessible and memorable.
Inclusiveness and Collaboration: Use the escape room dynamic to break down cultural barriers and promote transnational teamwork.
